Worawat Phuangpornsri hails from Thailand. Worawat received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Thammasat University in Thailand in 2000. He received his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2011.

Dr. Teresa R. Pohlman

Dr. Teresa R. Pohlman 2002 E&EM graduate Dr. Teresa R. Pohlman, LEED AP, recently assumed the position of Director, Occupational Safety & Environmental Programs, in the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Teresa previously served as Chief of the Environmental Division, U.S. Air Force, where she managed the Air Force's $1 billion environmental program, including cleanup, compliance, conservation, and pollution prevention, for all bases in the United States and overseas, including international bilateral agreements with Russia, Norway, Argentina, and Italy. She also served as the Tenant Activities Group Leader at the Pentagon Renovation Office, where she spearheaded the efforts for LEED certification of three Pentagon Renovation projects and won the Presidential Award for Leadership in Federal Energy Management, one of five awarded in the federal government.

Maria Polis

Maria Polis is a Research Associate with the National Association of Regional Councils in Washington, D.C., where she specializes in air quality management issues. She previously served in the Office of International Affairs at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Maria graduated from Cornell University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences. She received her Master of Public Policy degree at GW, focusing on environmental issues.

Melissa Pope

Melissa Pope received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from Tufts University in 2002. Melissa received her Master of Science degree in environmental and energy management at GW in May 2008. She presently works as a Project Manager with SD Keppler and Associates in the Washington, DC area.

Anuradha Prasad

Anuradha Prasad currently works for the Center of Clean Air Policy, which is a not-for-profit environmental organization in Washington, D.C. Anu holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Policy from Juniata College in Pennsylvania, where she graduated in 2002. She obtained a Master of Public Policy degree in Environmental Policy at GW.

Mohammed Qaradaghi

Mohammed Qaradaghi received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Technology in Baghdad, Iraq, where he graduated in 1997. He received his Master of Science degree in Project Management from the GW School of Business in 2007, and earned his Ph.D. in Environmental and Energy Management at the GW School of Engineering. He now works for the World Bank.

Anila Qehaja

Anila Qehaja received her Bachelor of Science degree in applied Arts &Sciences from the American University in Kosovo in 2015. Anila currently is studying for her Master of Arts degree in Environmental Resource Policy, where she began her studies in the fall 2016 semester.

Kristin Quam

Kristin Quam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Washington, where she graduated in 2008. Kristin currently worked in the GWU Registrar's Office while pursuing her Master of Arts degree in Environmental Resource Policy at GW. She graduated with that degree in 2013.

Josh Raeben

Josh Raeben obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Syracuse University, where he graduated in 2005. Josh received his Master of Science degree in Crisis, Emergency and Risk Management at GW in May 2010.

Arifur Rahman

Dr. Arifur Rahman obtained his undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, where he graduated in 2009. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from GW, which he obtained in 2012. Most recently, Arifur graduated with his PhD degree in Civil and Environment Engineering from GW in 2015.

Catharine Cyr Ransom

Catharine Cyr Ransom graduated from GW in 1996 with a Master of Engineering Management degree in Environmental and Energy Management Program. She presently is a Managing Director with the Glover Park Group in Washington, DC. Previosly Catharine was a Senior Climate and Environmental Advisor to Senator Max Baucus (D-MT) and a Senior Professional Staff Member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. Prior to joining the Senate, Catharine served as an Environmental Specialist in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, where, from 1995 to 1997, she shepherded the U.S. Navy's involvement in the Kyoto Protocol.

Vikram Rao

Vikram Rao is an EMSE doctoral graduate who studied under the guidance of Prof. Royce Francis. Vik holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech where he graduated in 2002. He also holds a Master of Engineering Management degree from GW. Vik is interested in renewable energy and is planning a career in renewable energy analysis and policy.

 
Alibek Razakov

Alibek Razakov worked for the Ministry of Energy in the Republic of Kazakhstan, where he served in the Gas Industry Department. Alibek graduated from the Kazakh University of Economy and Management in 2001. He graduated with his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2010.

Cassandra Reyes-Jones

Cassandra Reyes-Jones is a Graduate Research Assistance for Prof. Francis in the Environmental and Energy Management program at GW. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Sciences from the University of California at Santa Cruz, where she graduated in 2005. Sandra received her Master of Arts degree in Environmental and Resource Policy from GW in 2012. She works at The Linux Foundation as an Event Manager.

Christopher Rials

Christopher Rials is a submarine officer with the United States Navy. Chris received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Mississippi in 2003. He currently is on shore duty with the Naval Sea Systems command after receiving his Master of Science degree from GW in 2010.

Dan Rice

Dan Rice received his Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering, with a minor in Physics, from GW in 2009. Dan received his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in May 2010.

Gizele Richards

Gizele Richards holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Connecticut, where she graduated in 2003. Gizele currently is working at the Security and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. She received her Master of Arts degree in Environmental and Resource Policy from GW in 2013.

Dr. David Rigby

Dr. David Rigby is the President of Waste Water Management, Inc. in northern Virginia. David received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and Master of Science in Civil Engineering degrees from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1970 and 1971, respectively. David obtained his Doctor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, with a minor in Environmental and Energy Management, from GW in 2006.

Andres Rincon

Andres Rincon hails from Venezuela. Andres graduated from the University of Zulia in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He graduated with his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2013.

Seth Rogge

Seth Rogge graduated from the George Washington University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 2002. Seth, who holds the position of Structural Manager for the SK&N Corporation, received a Master of Science degree in structural engineering from GW.

Mark Rohan

Mark Rohan currently works as a Program Manager with Tesla Motors, in Fremont, CA. Previously, he was a Mechanical Engineer at the Naval Acquisition Intern Program. Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Arizona State University in 2008, followed by his graduate degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2014.

Stephen Ross

Stephen Ross received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Environmental Studies from GW in 2014. Stephen graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Geography from GW. He is currently a GIS Technician for Apple Inc. via Apex.

Doug Rossin

Doug Rossin is an Energy Efficiency Senior Engineer at DNV GL in Wheaton, Illinois. He leads the engineering team for the Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) project, developing new measures that ComEd can offer incentives for in its energy efficiency program. He also does technical reviews of very large energy efficiency projects. He formerly worked at Navigant Consulting in Washington D.C. Doug, who is from Sao Paulo, Brazil, obtained his masters degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in 2006. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland in 2001.

Jeff Roth

Jeff Roth currently is an associate with Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington, DC. Jeff received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1996. He obtained his Master of Science degree in environmental engineering and Johns Hopkins University in 2006. He received his graduate degree in Environmental and Energy Management in 2012.

Jeff Rubini is an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard who served on a two-year Graduate Fellowship sponsored by the Coast Guard. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from the Pennsylvania State University, where he graduated in 2001. He also holds a Master Arts degree in Homeland Security from the American Military University, which he obtained in 2005. Jeff obtained his Master of Public Administration degree at GW in 2013.

Zachary Ruckert

Zachary Ruckert works for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) as an Energy Industry Analyst. He received his Master of Arts degree in Environmental and Resource Policy from GW in 2017. Zac graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Affairs from GW in 2015.

Leyla Sadigh

Leyla Sadigh works as an Electrical Engineer for the GTA Group in Northern Virginia. Leyla holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Azad Islamic University in Tehran, Iran, where she graduated in 2000. She received her Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in May 2010.

Jyl Safier

Jyl Safier graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the dual majors of International Development and Environmental and Social Issues. Jyl, who has a strong interest in environmental sustainability and energy policy issues, received her Master of Business Administration degree in Environmental Management and Policy at GW in 2002.

Ann Sanford

Ann Sanford holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from the Ramapo College of New Jersey, where she graduated in 2003. Ann finished her Master of Pubic Policy degree in Environmental Policy at GW in 2006.

David Saulter

David Saulter is a Development Manager for the Pulte Homes Corporation in Northern Virginia. David received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and Civil Engineering in 2001 and his Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from GW in 2007.

Tim Schaeffer

Tim Schaeffer is a researcher at Science Applications International, Inc. in northern Virginia. Tim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology at Colorado State University, Northridge, in 1995, and his Master of Science degree in Marine Science from the Mississippi Landing Marine Laboratories in 1999. Tim completed his Master of Business Administration degree in Environmental Management at GW in 2003.

John Schauder

John Schauder is an Energy Efficiency Engineer at Con Edison Solutions. John holds a Bachelor of Science from the James Madison University, where he graduated in 2006. He received his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2011.

Mark Suresh Schlanger

Mark Suresh Schlanger recently received his MBA degree in Environmental Management and Policy in May 2003. Mark, who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, is a devotee of Yoga, having studied in India. Mark is particularly interested in renewable energy.

Danielle Schultz

Danielle Schultz received her B.A. in Environmental Studies in 2017 and is continuing with her M.A. in Environmental and Resources Policy studies at GW.  She works as a Domestic Energy Policy Intern at Center for American Progress.

DJ Schwartz

DJ Schwartz graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor Science degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2012. He is worked as an Energy Grid Engineer Intern with Service Logic LLC while pursuing his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management, which he received in 2014.

Lyndi Scott-Strite

Lyndi Scott-Strite currently works as an Intern at Chemonics. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Film Production from the North Carolina State University, where she graduated in 1999. Lyndi received her Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Environmental Management at GW.

Jeff Shackelford

Jeff Shackelford is a Senior Staff Engineer at the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board (DNFSB). He holds a Bachelors degree (1982) and a Masters degree (1991) from Georgia Tech. Jeff pursued his doctoral degree in Environmental Management at GW.

Saleem Ahmed Shaikh

Saleem Ahmed Shaikh is from Pakistan. Saleem holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical CAD engineering from Mehran University, where he graduated in 1990. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Nuclear Power Plant Technology from KANUPP in 1992. Saleem, who worked for some years for the government of Pakistan, received his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in May 2009.

Dalton Shaugnessy

Dalton Shaughnessy works for the United States Navy as an Environmental Restoration Project Manager. Dalton received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated in 2008. He received his Master's degree in Environmental and Public Policy from GW in 2013.

Evan Sherer

Evan Sherer received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Marine Science from the University of Miami in 2006. Evan received his Master of Arts degree in Environmental Policy at GW in May 2010.

Dr. George William (Jerry) Sherk

Dr. George William (Jerry) Sherk received his D.Sc. degree in Spring 2002, from the Environmental and Energy Management Program. Prior to coming to GW, Jerry was a Visiting Associate Professor of Natural Resources and Environmental Law at Georgia State University (1994-1996). Prior to that, Jerry had a private law practice and, from 1984-1990 was a trial attorney with the Environment and Natural Resources Division, U.S. Department of Justice. He also has served as a special assistant in the Office of the Secretary of the Interior (1982-1983) and as an attorney with the National Conference of State Legislatures (1980-1982). Jerry received his law degree from the University of Denver after completing undergraduate and graduate studies at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Anthony Sherman

Anthony Sherman currently works for the World Wildlife Fund in Washington, D.C. Tony obtained his masters degree in Environmental Resources and Policy from the Columbian College at GW.

Reepa Shroff

Reepa Shroff works as an HSE Consultant at ORC Worldwide. Reepa got her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia where she studied Environmental Economics and Management. She received her Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in May 2009.

Bassam Shuhaibar

Bassam Shuhaibar is from Kuwait, where he worked as a Research Assistant for the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research. Bassam received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University College in London, United Kingdom, in 1998. He obtained a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering at GW in 2005 and is now working on a a Doctor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering at GW, focusing on geospatial science.

Chandan Singh

Chandan Singh works for the Utilities Management Corporation, where he holds the position of Business Analyst/Development. Chandan received a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance from Florida State University in 2005, and holds a Master of Business Administration degree in marketing from the Georgia State University, where he graduated in 2007. Chandan received his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2011.

Vasanth Sista graduated from the Jawaharlal Metro Technological University in India with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2011, and has graduated with a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from GW.

Kaitlin Slimak is working as an Energy Auditor at greeNEWit located in Columbia, MD. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biosystems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 2011. Kaitlin graduated with her Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2014.

Blake Smith graduated with a Masters of Arts degree in Environmental and Resource Policy from the Colombian College of Arts and Sciences at GW in 2013. Blake received his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary, where he majored in Physics, in 2007.

Brian P. Smith

Brian P. Smith began study towards a Master of Engineering Management degree in Environmental and Energy Management in the spring 2000 semester. Brian received his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science at Springfield College in 1992. He served as Associate Director of the American Forest Foundation in Washington, D.C. and as Vice President of the Global Environmental Technology Foundation. Brian received his master's degree from GW in May 2002 and currently works at ICF Consulting in Houston, Texas.

Abdul Moiz Sohail

Abdul Moiz Sohail is a Fulbright scholar from Pakistan. Moiz received his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from the National University of Science and Technology in Pakistan in 2013, and his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from in GW in 2017.  HE works as a Senior Research Analyst at The Urban Unity in Lahore, Pakistan.

Dan Somma

Dan Somma is an active duty Commander in the U.S. Coast Guard managing safety, security & environmental protection missions for a four state region around Lake Michigan. Dan has 18 years of private sector and Coast Guard experience in safety management systems, ship inspection, pollution response, environmental remediation & hazardous materials management. He holds a B.S. in Environmental Conervation from the University of New Hampshire and an M.S. in International Transportation Management from the State University of New York Maritime College (2005). He received an MS in Environmental and Energy Management from GWU in 2008.

Jamie Song

Jamie Song works as an Environmental Protection Specialist with the Manufacturers of Emission Controls Association. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Boston College in 2001. Presently, Jamie also holds a Master of Arts degree in Environmental and Resource Policy from GW, which she received in 2005. She graduated from GW with a Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management in 2012.

Young Soek Song

Young Soek Song graduated with a Master of Engineering Management degree in Environmental and Energy Management in 2001. Earlier, Young Soek obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from the Chonbuk National University in South Korea (1984). Since graduating from GW, Young Soek has returned to his home country of Korea.

Justin Spenillo

Justin Spenillo works for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as an Environmental Protection Specialist in the Sustainable Facilities and Practices Program. Justin has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the Franklin and Marshall College, where he graduated in 2002. He completed his Master of Arts degree in Science, Technology and Public Policy at GW in 2006.

Michael Steele

Michael Steele received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the George Mason University 2007. He received his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2013.

Marija Stefanovic

Marija Stefanovic is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive environmental management experience in her home country of Serbia. Marija received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Belgrade. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Thermotechnics and HVAC Engineering from the University of Belgrade. Marija received her Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2017 and works as an Energy Engineer at PEER Consultants, P.C.

Ranae Steichen works as an Energy and Sustainability Analyst for SRA International and Washington DC. Ranae received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Environmental Policy from Drake University in 2006. She presently is received her Master of Public Policy degree from GW in 2012.

Matt Stone

Matt Stone presently works for the US Green Business Council, where he is a LEED Certification Reviewer. Matt received his Bachelor Arts degree in Business Administration from Furman University, where he graduated in 2007. Matt graduated from GW with his Master of Arts degree in Environmental Resource Policy in 2013.

Audrey Suarez

Audrey Suarez is an Archivist at Chemonics International in Washington, D.C. Audrey received her undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary, where she received dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in International Relations and Chinese, with a minor in French. Audrey graduated with her Master of Arts degree in International Development Studies from GW in 2013.

Mike Sullivan

Mike Sullivan currently works as an analyst at Berkshire Hathaway Energy's federal affairs office. He works on a number of issues, including electric vehicles and 'smart city' developments. Sullivan earned his BA degree in Political Science from GW in 2011 and earned his MBA from GW in 2018, focusing on Data Analytics and Energy.

Meghann Sullivan

Meghann Sullivan is a West Point graduate, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and Environmental Engineering in 2000. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla, where she graduated in 2005. Meghann presently a serving as an officer in the US Army Corps of Engineers and received her Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2011.

Dr. Nongnard Suntonpagasit

Dr. Nongnard Suntonpagasit is from Thailand. She received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the Kink Mongkut Institute in Bangkok, Thailand in 1998. She also obtained her Master of Science degree in Plastic Engineering from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. She received her Doctor of Science degree in the Department of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering at GW in January 2003.

Beiji Suonan received her Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from Mount Holyoke College in 2015. She received her Master's degree in Environmental Resource Policy from GW.

Priya Swamy

Priya Swamy works as an Energy Project Specialist in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy, where she holds the position of Energy Technology Specialist. Priya received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Bryn Mawr College. Priya received  her Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2014.

Arshad Syed

Arshad Syed obtained his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in 2006. Arshad holds a Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering form the State Board of Technical Education and Training in India where he graduated in 1988. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the J.N.T. Hyderabad University in 1993 and a post-graduate diploma in Energy Management from the National Productivity Council in New Delhi ion 1997. Arshad has 11 years of professional experience in energy management in India, with his most recent position being Assistant Director (Energy Management), at NPC India. In 2005, Arshad accepted an internship with a major energy services company in northern Virginia.

Dr. Irmak Renda Tanali

Dr. Irmak Renda Tanali is a Research Associate at the Institute for Crisis, Disaster and Risk Management of the George Washington University. She received her Doctor of Science degree in Crisis and Emergency Management from the Department of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering at GW in 2003. Her research works include modeling the impacts of natural and man-made disasters, modeling of costs of mitigation actions and response operations, and analyses and reports on organizational capabilities. Irmak holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering, M.S. in Engineering Economy and an M.B.A. in Financial Management. Formerly she was the director of a privately owned engineering design and consulting company.

Chris Tantillo

Chris Tantillo is a Lieutenant in the U.S. Coast Guard. Chris graduated in 1999 from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering, and graduated with a Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2005.

Thananan Thanajaro

Thananan Thanajaro holds an undergraduate degree in Pharmacology from the Chilalongkorn University in Thailand and a Master of Sciences in Operations Research from GW in 2000. She took a number of Environmental and Energy Management courses as a Minor in her studies toward a Doctor of Science degree in Operations Research at GW.

Vanessa Trejos

Vanessa Trejos hails from Colombia. Vanessa received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with a focus on International Business, in 2011 from GW. Venessa received her Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2014 and presently is working for PEER Consultants, Ltd, in Washington, D.C.

Genalle Triggiani

Genalle Triggiani is a Student co-op with the Federal Reserve Board in Washington DC. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelors degree in Global Health in 2008. Genalle received her Master of Public Health degree with a focus on Environmental and Occupational Health at GW in 2010.

Jaime Tupper

Jaime Tupper is a graduate of the Systems Engineering program at GW, where he graduated in 2016. He received his Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from GW in 2017. He is working as  Analyst at CIFI AM - Corporación Interamericana para el Financiamiento de Infraestructura.

Norvic Chicchon Ugarte

Norvic Chicchon Ugarte is from Peru, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniena in 1999. Norvic previously worked for the large petroleum development companies YPF (headquartered in Argentina) and Repsol (headquartered in Spain), as well was with the Ministry of Energy and Mining in Peru. Norvic completed his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in 2006.

Eva Urbatsch

Eva Urbatsch has a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering and a BLS degree from the Iowa State University, where she graduated in 1999. Eva received her Master of Arts degree in Science, Technology and Public Policy at GW in May 2003.

Jose Urdaneta

Jose Urdaneta hails originally from Argentina. Jose received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 1995 from the Metropolitan University, and received his Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Columbia University in New York City in 1999. He graduated from GW in 2002 and currently works at SAIC, Inc. in northern Virginia where he is a systems analyst.

Armin Vakili

Armin Vakili received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department of Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran where he graduated in 2011. He also received a proffesional Diploma in Rotary Instruments Engineering in 2009. In addition, Armin has worked as an intern in petroleum industry. Armin received his Master of Science degree in Enviromental and Energy Management from GW in 2014.

Ana Valenzuela serves as an Intern for the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the Middle Tennessee State University, where she graduated in 2012. Ana graduated with her Master of Public Policy degree from GW in 2015.

Karen Vallejos

Karen Vallejos is from the Philippines. She currently works in the IT Support department of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & Mackae. In 1996, she earned her BA degree from Ateneo de Manila in the Philippines. She received her Masters degree in Engineering Management from GW in May 2002.

Andres Varona

Andres Varona received his undergraduate degree in International Affairs from GW, followed by his Master's degree in International Development Studies from GW in 2017. He currently works as an Agriculture & Food Security Program Officer at Partners of the Americas in DC.

Dr. Krishna S. Vatsa

Dr. Krishna S. Vatsa obtained his Doctor of Science degree in Crisis and Emergency Management, with a minor in Environmental and Energy Management at GW. Prior to coming to GW, Krishna worked in the area of earthquake rehabilitation in his native country of India. Krishna holds a Master of Arts degree in International Business from the University of Reading, United Kingdom and was a Visiting Academic at the London University, where he lectured in the area of environmental justice.

Lindsay Veas

Lindsay Veas is a Senior Analyst with TMS, Inc, supporting the Office of Fossil Energy, U.S. Department of Energy. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2001 from GW. She received her Masters degree from the Environmental and Natural Resources program at GW in 2013.

Dr. Laura Verduzco

Dr. Laura Verduzco, who graduated with a Doctor of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management program at GW in 2006, is from Mexico City, Mexico. Laura, who was the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Nacional Autonama de Mexico in Mexico City. Laura now works for Mobil in California as a Carbon Advisor.

Nick Vikstrom

Nick Vikstrom is a Presidential Administrative Fellow. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from GW, where he graduated in 2002. Nick recently graduated with a Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in Environmental Management and Policy.

Charles Vinsonhaler

Charles Vinsonhaler received his undergraduate degree at the George Mason University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Economics in 2013. At the present time, Charles is pursuing his Master’s degree in Environmental Policy at GW, while woking at Boston Scientific as an EDF Climate Corps Fellow in Renewable Energy.

Indrajeet Viswanathan

Indrajeet Viswanathan hails from India. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mumbai in 2004. After graduating, Indrajeet worked in the areas of marketing and estimation and also had some teaching experience before coming to GW, where he received his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management in 2013.

Leslie Walrath

Leslie Walrath is the Director of the Environmental Infrastructure program for the United States Army. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering from the US Military Academy at West Point, New York in 1994. Leslie got her Master of Science in Civil Engineering degree from Georgia Tech in 2002 and received her Professional degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2011.

Xiaoxi Wang

Xiaoxi Wang (Susy) holds an undergraduate degree from Boston University where she graduated in 2015 with a degree in economics and international relations.  She received her Master's degree in International Affairs from GW in 2017.

Minli Wang

Minli Wang obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Physics from the University of Toronto in 2013. She graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Environmental and Resource Policy from GW, and currently works as a Graduate Admissions Specialist at the American University.

Rusty Wasem

Rusty Wasem obtained his undergraduate degree in History from the State University of New York, Plattsburgh. Rusty currently is a Chemical Review Manager at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C., and received his Master of Business Administration degree in Strategic Management and Public Policy from GW in 2013.

Kiersten Washle

Kiersten Washle received her Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering in 2017. She received a Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management and worked as a graduate administrative assistant in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at GW.

Emily Wasley

Emily Wasley, a British citizen, was born and raised in London, United Kingdom. Emily received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College, which is located near Syracuse, New York. She received her Master of Arts degree in Environmental and Resource Policy at GW. Emily presently works as a Senior Consultant in the Environmental and Safety Compliance Division of the McLean, VA offices of Booz Allen Hamilton.

Poomvises (Yod) Watanachak

Poomvises (Yod) Watanachak is from Thailand. Yod graduate with a bachelor of Science degree in electronics enginering for the Assumption University in Thailand and completed his Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at GW in 2002.

Christopher Watroba

Christopher Watroba worked at the consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton while studying for his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW, where he graduated in 2012. Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Management from the US Military Academy at West Point in 2001. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Webster University, where he graduated in 2005.

Shayna Weinshel

Shayna Weinshel received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from GW in 2011. She graduated with her Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from GW in 2013 while working for DC Water, which is the water and wastewater utility servicing all of Washington, DC.

John Weiss

John Weiss graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree at GW in Environmental Studies and Geographical Information Systems from GW in 2013. John works at the Department of Housing and Community Development in the District of Columbia government.

Megan Wertz

Megan Wertz works for the U.S. Forest Service in Washington, DC, where she holds the position of Social Science Technician in the Office of Policy Analysis. At USDA, Megan works on climate change issues. Megan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Scientific Communications from the James Madison University, where she graduated in 2006.

Corry Westbrook

Corry Westbrook obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from the Florida International University in 1993 and her Master of Arts degree in Environmental and Resource Policy from GW in 1998. Corry currently serves as the Legislative Director for the National Wildlife Federation in Washington, D.C. She previously was a Program Analyst in the Office of Drinking Water at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Nikki White

Nikki White works at Mabbett Associates. Previously she worked for Northridge, Inc., where she used Geographical Information Systems and other advanced technologies in environmental applications. Nikki comes to GW from the University of Indiana, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pubic Affairs, with a concentration in Environmental Science, in 1998. She completed her Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in 2002.

Soala Whyte

Soala Whyte received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the Olabisi Onalsango University in Nigeria. He graduated with his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy management from GW in 2014. He presently is working for Peer Consultants in Washington, D.C. as an Energy Associate.
