Association of Energy Engineers Holds Career Fair at GW

The National Capital Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers (AAE) held its third annual Engineering Job Fair and Career Seminar on October 30, 2015. The event was held in the Lehman Auditorium and adjacent “green wall” area adjacent to the EEM office suite in the Science and Engineering Hall. The event provided an opportunity for students to meet prospective employers in the environmental and energy field.

The AAE job fair featured information booths set up by 10 major corporations interested in hiring GW energy engineers. It included a seminar on “Finding Employment in the Energy Sector” featuring professionals from the energy sector who provided attendees with information on how to find a job, the kinds of skills and experience employers are seeking, salary levels, and similar practical information.

The Association of Energy Engineers is a professional association promoting networking in the fields of energy engineering, energy management, renewables, power generation, energy services, sustainability, and related areas. It has a membership base of over 17,500 professionals in 98 countries, a network of 96 local chapters and a series of widely recognized energy certification programs.
