EEMI Professional Education Short Course Program Continues Strongly

Over the Fall 2017 semester, the EEMI continued its successful run of state-of-the-art professional short courses in the environmental and energy management area. All courses offered during the Fall semester were conducted at GW’s Foggy Bottom campus in collaboration with the European Energy Center. Fall 2017 course offerings included the following:

  • Solar Photovoltaic Fundamentals
  • Renewable Energy Management & Finance  
  • Environmental Management Beyond Compliance (Implementing an ISO 14001 System)
  • Distributed Generation and Storage
  • Practical Application of Circular Economy Methods

These courses are aimed primarily at individuals considering consultancy jobs and/or those who have to evaluate the benefits of adopting renewable energy technology, as well as managers, directors and executives wanting to improve their understanding and approaches to the ever-developing energy management area to achieve measurable results.  The courses provide information on dealing effectively with the changing commercial, policy and social dimensions of strategic planning, budgeting, investing, and coordinating interdepartmental or intergovernmental initiatives.

All courses conducted to date have met with sterling feedback from enthusiastic students.  Examples of comets include the following:
