Assan Abdirov currently works as a First Secretary for thePermanent Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UN. He received his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2011 under a Bolashak fellowship, which is very distinguished and highly competitive graduate education program in Kazakhstan. Assan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Kazakh Economic University in 2002.

Mark Ackiewicz

Mark Ackiewicz graduated in 2003 with a Master of Engineering Management degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the Johns Hopkins University in Chemical Engineering in 1995. He currently works for Technology and Management Services, Inc, where helps to support the U.S. Department of Energy.Arthur Angelier currently works for Ernst & Young in Paris, France as a consultant. He received his undergraduate education in business in France. Arthur participated in a two semester exchange program with his home business school in France, returning home to France in 2014.

Moses Adoko

Moses Adoko currently works at the Goddard Space Flight Center ofthe National Aeronautical and Space Administration. He is involved with providing development services to engineering, systems engineering and scientific communities. Moses is responsible for systems engineering talent cultivation in support of GSFC aerospace activities and programs. Previously, he supported the Earth Sciences Program as the NASA essay Project Manager with the ASRC Corporation as well as a NASA workshop on Biodiversity and Ecological Forecasting. Moses received his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Eastern Africa in 1994. In addition, he holds a Master of Science degree in Instructional Technology, which he received in 1996. Moses received his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2011.Arthur Angelier currently works for Ernst & Young in Paris, France as a consultant. Rosa Ailabouni

Rosa Ailabouni is a Business Strategy Consultant with Booz, Allen and Hamilton Corporation, where she works on Department of Energy programs. Roas obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Ohio State University in 2001 with a major in Political Science, and her Master of Interntional Affaris degree from Columbia University in New York City in 2003. Rosa recently received her Master of Science Degree in Environmental and Energy Management.

Nsikak Akpan

Nsikak Akpan currently works for the government as a safety analyst. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and Regional Planning from the University of Uyo in Nigeria, where he graduated in 2002. Nsikak also received a Master of Science degree in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Uyo in 2007. He received his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management degree from GW in 2014.

Hamed Al Khalifa

Hamed Al Khalifa currently serves as the General Director of Urban Planning in the Ministry of Municipalities and Urban Planning in Manama, Bahrain. In addition, he is the Chairman of Southern Tourism Company, which operates out of Al-Door Jetty in the Southern Governorate, providing transportation from the main island to the Hawar Islands. In the role of Assistant Undersecretary for Urban Planning, Hamed was involved with implementation of the National Strategy 2030 for the Kingdom of Bahrain. Hamed Al Khalifa graduated with a Master of Engineering Management degree in Environmental and Energy Management in 2002.

Khaled Al-Adwani

Khaled Al-Adwani compled his master's degree program in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in 2002. He received his Master of Science degree in mechanical Engineering in May 1999 from the New Institute of Technology in New York.

Fahad Al-Ammar

Fahad Al-Ammar is from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he has a number of years of experience in various engineering management positions. Prior to coming to GW to continue his graduate education, Fahad held the position of Senior Engineer in the headquarters Engineering Department of a public/private agricultural organization dealing with grain silos and flour mills.

Dr. Aziz Al-Buainain

Dr. Aziz Al-Buainain came to GW in 2000 and received his D.Sc. degree from the Engineering Management Department (Environmental & Energy Management) in October 2002. He holds an M.Sc. degree from GW in 1996 and a B.Sc.degree in Civil Engineering from King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia in 1984. Prior to coming to GW for his current round of studies, Aziz was head of the Supervision Branch with the Bahrain Defense Force.

Mohammad Al-Jawah

Mohammad Al-Jawah is from Cairo, Egypt. He currently works for Upside Innovations, LLC as a Design Engineer. Mohammad received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from GW in 2004, followed by his Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from GW in 2005. Mohammad went on to obtain his Ph.D. degree in Environmentral and Energy Managment in 2014.

Saeed Al-Shahrani

Saeed Al-Shahrani holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, which he obtained from the University of Toledo in 2010. Saeed received his Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering at GW in 2013.

Dr. Amjad Ali

Dr. Amjad Ali currently serves as Associate Vice President & Cybersecurity Advisor to the President of the University of Maryland University College(UMUC). At UMUC, Dr. Ali was the Director of the Center for Security Studies, as well as the Program Director of the graduate school's Management of Technological Systems Department. He also worked with the American Consulting Engineers Council in Washington, DC. Dr. Amjad Ali earned his doctorate from The George Washington University, Engineering Management and Systems Engineering (EMSE) Department in May 2000.

Kim Alles

Kim Alles works as a Staff Assistant at the Wildlife Conservation Society in Washington, D.C. Kim received double major degrees of Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries and Bachelor of Arts in French from the University of Georgia, where she graduated in 2012. She graduated with her Master of Arts degree in Environmental and Resource Policy from GW in 2015.

Eydhah Almatrafi

Eydhah Almatrafi is currently a Ph.D. Student in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of South Florida in the Sustainability and Renewable Energy program. Eydhah received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He received his Master of Science degree in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering from GW in 2014.

Alonzo Alvarez

Alonzo Alvarez currently serves as an Automation Engineer for Chevron North America Exploration and Production Company. Alonzo is involved with supporting Asset Development and Operations teams in maximizing production and enhancing reliability through the design, planning, execution and management of projects and the general development of engineering competencies within the business unit. Alonzo obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from GW, where he graduated in 2011. He graduated with his Master of Science degree in Engineering Management with a concentration in Finance, Economics and Cost Estimating in 2013.

Dr. Virginia Alzina

Dr. Virginia Alzina currently works for ENVIRON as a Principal Consultant and Director. Virginia was formerly an Environmental Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C. Dr. Alzina holds an undergraduate degree in Political Sciences and Sociology from the Universidad de Salamanca, Spain, where she graduated in 1996. She obtained her Master of Science degree in Environmental Sciences from the Johns Hopkins University in 1998. Virginia graduated from the GW E&EM Program in May 2001 with her Doctor of Science degree in Engineering Management with a concentration in Environmental and Energy Management. Her doctoral research was in the area of environmental impact assessment.

Cesar Anda

Cesar Anda currently works as a Principal Consultant for Anda Consulting. Formerly, he worked for Pacific Gas and Electric in California, where he also completed a summer internship in 2012.Cesar obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 2004 and got his Master of Business Administration degree from GW.

Jonathon Anderson

Jonathon Anderson currently works as in the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Recovery Division in the Infrastructure Branch. He holds a combined BA in Environmental Studies/Government from St. Lawrence University (1999). Jonathon recently completed his Masters degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW. He also writes public policy for the Public Assistance Program of FEMA to coordinate various agencies for debris removal and rebuild infrastructure.

Mark Andress

Mark Andress is currently working for Navy Staff N2/N6 as a Senior Executive and has served as a Project Manager with the Military Sealift Command. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Texas A&M University, which he obtained in 1988, as well as a Master of Engineering Management degree from GW obtained in 2002. Mark obtained his D.Sc. degree at GW with a minor in Environmental and Energy Management.

Arthur Angelier

Josef Antosh

Josef Antosh currently works for Mangan Software Solutions as a Program Manager. He manages software implementation project activities for multiple clients and projects across all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure. Josef formerly worked as an Energy Analyst at Booz Allen Hamilton. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the US Military Academy at West Point in 2003 and obtained his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in 2012.

Carlos Arboleda

Carlos Arboleda completed his Master of Engineering Management degree with a concentration in Environmental and Energy Management in 2000. Carlos received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from the Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Columbia in 1997. He presently is working at the Frank Hopkins Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise in Washington, D.C.

Jessica Aresta-DaSilva

Jessica Aresta-DaSilva currently works for Witt O'Brien's as a Compliance Consultant - Project Manager. Previously, she worked at the Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) as an Environmental Protection Specialist for the NEPA Compliance Division in the Office of Federal Activities. Jessica graduated from the Roger Williams University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She received her Environmental and Energy Management MS degree from GW in May 2011.

Ashley Armstrong

Ashley Armstrong currently works for Harvard University Extension School as a Teaching Assistant in International Development of Sustainable Economies. In addition, she works for Accion International as a Recruiting and Staffing Specialist. Ashley formerly served as a Mining and Energy Intern at the Conservation Institute Center for Environmental Leadership and Business. She graduated from Williams College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Ashley obtained her Master of Arts degree in International Development Studies with a concentration in Environment and Development from GW in 2013.

Lauren Auerbach

Lauren Auerbach received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from GW in 2016, and Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at GW in 2018.

Jim Bach

Jim Bach works as a Program Specialist with the Peace Corps in Washington, D.C. Jim holds an undergraduate degree in International Affairs from the University of Colorado and a Master of Arts degree in International Education and Human Development from GW, where he graduated in 2005.

 

Lesly Baesens received her undergraduate degree in communications from the Institut des Hautes Etudes Sociales in Belgium. She took Environmental and Energy Management courses at GW while pursuing her Master’s degree in Environmental Policy at the American University in Washington DC.

Charles Baldwin

Charles Baldwin currently works for LMI as a Health Policy Consultant. He is involved with implementing policy on a joint contract with the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) for Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). Previously, Charles was a Senior Associate with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Virginia, where he graduated in 2007, followed by his Master’s degree in Public Policy from GW in 2014.

Sumanth Balesh

Sumanth Balesh currently works at Co-Op Engineering Laboratory Development at Volvo Trucks in the D.C. Metro Area. Sumanth received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from his undergraduate studies. He graduated with a Master of Science degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from GW in 2015.

Ethan Balis

Ethan Balis currently works for ViaSystems North America Inc. as an EHS & Security Manager. Formerly Ethan was an Elysian Energy Consultant. He also served as a Seafood Choices Alliance Intern at SeaWeb. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis, where he graduated in 2001. Ethan received his MBA degree at GW with a focus on Strategic Management and Environmental Policy in May 2010.

Moises Barona

Moises Barona is an environmental engineer with Automata International, an electroplating manufacturing company. Moises obtained his Master of Engineering Management degree in Environmental and Energy Management in 2003. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the Lewis-Clark State College.

Shawna Barry

Shawna Barry currently works for ICF International as a Manager of Environmental Impact Analysis and Conservation Planning. She also has experience with NEPA document preparation at ICF International. Shawna is a 2008 E&EM graduate.

Scott Barstow

Scott Barstow is the Director of Public Policy and Legislation at the American Counseling Association. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in math and computer science from Willamette University in Oregon, where he graduated in 1986. Scott received his Master of Arts degree in public policy from GW, concentrating in environmental and resource policy, in 2007. He received his Masters of Science in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins University - Krieger School of Advanced Academic Programs.

Veronica Bemis

Veronica Bemis currently works for Solar Energy Trade Shows, LLC as a director of New Markets & Educational Development. Veronica received her Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from GW. She is interested in the environment and took some of her elective courses in the Environmental and Energy Management graduate program.

Christian Benz

Christian Benz works for Turner Construction Company as a Field Engineer. Christian graduated in 2014 with his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from GW with a concentration in Sustainability.

Bruk Berhane

Bruk Berhane presently works as a Program Coordinator, Center for Minorities in Science and Engineering, University of Maryland. Bruk holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, where he graduated in 2003, and a Masters degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW.

Ashley Berkow

Ashley Berkow received her Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Florida, with a minor in Environmental Science, in 2014. She graduated from GW with a Master of Arts degree in Environmental Resource Policy. Ashley currently works as a Risk Analyst Intern at the ABS Consulting Corporation.

Anna Bezrukov

Anna Bezrukov, who is a professional photographer, gained her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, where she majored in International Business and Marketing, graduating in 2006. Anna obtained her Master of Arts degree in International Development Studies from GW in 2012 and is currently working as a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton.

Anindya Bhagirath

Anindya Bhagirath hails from India. Anindya received her Bachelor of Science degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of Bristol in 2015. She received her Master’s degree in International Development Studies from GW in 2017.

Ramtin Bidgoli

Ramtin Bidgoli works for FICO as a Solutions Implementation Consultant. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from GW in 2001. Ramtin completed his last course for a Master of Engineering Management degree in the summer of 2003.

Isabel Bignon

Isabel Bignon has a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile, and graduated from GWU with a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering in 2015. She works as a Research Analyst at Independent Project Analysis (IRA) in Washington DC. 

Rachel Bilyk

Rachel Bilyk serves as an Energy Analyst for Sentech Inc. Rachel graduated from Penn State University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology. She graduated with a Master of Arts degree in environmental and resources management from GW in 2007.

Nancy Birnbaum

Nancy Birnbaum received her B.S. degree in Computer Science in 1986 from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She completed her J.D. at the Yale University School of Law in 1989, and attended GW starting in 1992, graduating with a master's degree in Environmental and Natural Resource Policy in 1995. Nancy currently is a senior official in one the most innovative programs at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Prior to that, she worked as the Assistant Counsel to the Inspector General of National Science Foundation from 1992 to 1995. At the NSF, she worked on the U.S. Antarctic Program in the areas of environmental compliance and logistical operations.

Gantulga (Gana) Bold hails from Ulan Bator (also spelled Ulaanbaatar), capital of the Republic of Mongolia. Gana serves as a Director for ENVIRON SUPPLIER LLC in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. They supply EHS professional equipment and consult to mining companies in Mongolia. Gana received his Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Technology from the National University of Mongolia in 2002 and received his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in May 2008.

Ran Bolton

Ran Bolton currently works for US EPA as a Program Analyst. He provides live webinar training for employees on new IT deployments. Ran is involved with developing curricula and objectives, managing a team of instructors, administering a webinar registration system, and gathering training feedback. He was awarded an EPA Bronze Medal for transitioning to a new, more efficient capital planning process. Ran received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley, where he graduated in 2001. He worked at the Center for American Progress as an Energy Intern while pursuing his Master of Public Policy degree at GW, which he obtained in 2009.

Dr. Juan Pablo Bonilla

Dr. Juan Pablo Bonilla obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in 1991 from the Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia, and his Master of Science degree in 1995 from the George Washington University. Juan Pablo received his Doctor of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in 2000. Juan Pablo currently is with the World Bank. He previously served as the Minister of the Environment in Columbia. He has in the past served as Executive Director of the Foundation for the Development of the Caribbean Region of Columbia, Environmental Manager of the National Industry Association of Colombia, and Advisor to the Minister of Environment in Colombia.

Ginny Boone

Ginny Boone received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University in 2012. She received her Master of Science degree in Engineering Management with a concentration in Crisis and Emergency Management from GW. Gunny currently is working as an analyst at the Haystax Technology Corporation.

Nathaniel Boone

Nathaniel Boone works for the Booz Allen Hamilton Consulting Company, where he holds the position of Project Manager. Nathan received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University in Connecticut and received his Graduate Certificate in Environmental and Occupational Health from GW in 2011.

Dr. Sergio Botero

Dr. Sergio Botero received his Doctor of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2002. Sergio currently is an Assistant Professor at the Energy and Thermodynamics Group (ETG) at the Research Center of the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin, Colombia. The ETG assists industries in identifying energy bottlenecks, increasing equipment operating efficiency, and use of energy resources.

Franklin Bourdeau

Franklin Bourdeau Currently works for Environmental Resources Management (ERM) as a Project Engineer. Previously he worked as a Corporate Environmental and Social Responsibility Research Fellow at the Inter-American Development Bank. Franklin is a Fulbright Scholar from Haiti. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Haiti in 2008 and received his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in 2012.

Karrie Branch

Karrie Branch is an Associate Manager at the Battelle Memorial Institute. Karrie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology, where she graduated in 1977. Karrie obtained her masters degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in 2006.

Andrea Breault currently works for National Grid as an EE Technical Support. In the past she was a Senior Consultant with Booz, Allen and Hamilton, Inc. where she supported the Environmental Management program of the U.S. Department of Energy. Andrea received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College in 1998. She completed her Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management in 2003.

David Breneisen

David Breneisen received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at GW, with Environmental Studies as his non-technical track.

Austin Brett

Austin Brett currently works for ICF International as a Senior Associate - Training Support Specialist. Previously Austin worked as and Environmental Scientist at Tetra Tech ME, Inc.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia, where she graduated in 2007. Presently, she is pursuing her Master of Science degree in Engineering Management, with a focus on Crisis, Emergency and Risk Management.

Dan Brewer

Dan Brewer received his Bachelor of Science degree from the James Madison University in 2000. Dan obtained his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW and currently is working as an Energy Analyst for Energetics, Incorporated, in Northern Virginia.

Richard Brill

Richard Brill currently works for Concurrent Technologies Corporation as an Energy Policy Analyst. He provides direct, on-site support to the Air Force energy office. Richard is responsible for the strategic management and oversight of the Air Force’s energy efforts and policy development across all domains. His portfolio includes managing the office’s strategic planning and communication, corporate governance, and Congressional affairs efforts. Formerly he was a Policy Analyst at JSC, Inc. Richard received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Political Science from Goucher College in 1999, and has a Master of Arts degree in Public Policy at Georgetown University.

Marilyn Brower

Marilyn Brower works for U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service as a Supervisory Engineer. Previously she worked as a Liaison Coordinator at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. Marilyn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Carnegie Mellon University, where she graduated in1991 and she received her Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at GW in May 2003.

Megan Brumbaugh

Megan Brumbaugh is a Program Coordinator at Elysian Energy in Washington, D.C. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with an Environmental Studies minor, from Goucher College, where she graduated in 2011. Megan received her Master of Arts degree in Environmental and Resource Policy from GW in 2013.

Shani Bryce

Shani Bryce works as an Environmental Engineer for Department of Environmental Protection in Miami/Fort Lauderdale Area. Shani received her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Geoscience from McGill University in Canada in 1999 and she went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering at GW.

Elisa Burrows

Elisa Burrows currently works for Fintrac Inc. as a Mission Partnerships Specialist. She provides research, technical, and grants management support to USAID Mission partnerships. She worked for Winrock International in the past, were she served as a Program Associate for Ecosystem Services. Elisa holds an undergraduate degree in International Business from Seattle University, where she graduated in 2008. She received her Master of Public Administration degree from GW in 2012.

Jerry Butwid

Jerry Butwid is an officer in the United States Coast Guard with extensive experience in environmental compliance. He works as a Program Manager of Marine Environmental Response Policy. Jerry received his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi in 1997. He received his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in 2012.

Zach Buzzell

Zach Buzzell works for AECOM as a Program Coordinator. He acts as a main point of contact for field office support and provides home office program management support to the USAID-funded SIKA-South program in Afghanistan which includes but is not limited to; creating consultant contracts, ensuring compliance with USAID regulations, FAR and AIDAR, reviewing invoices, assisting with management of subcontractors, recruiting for consultant positions, tracking USAID approvals, mobilization, and procurement, maintaining files in the OneSource database, and maintaining employee records in the SPOT database.Zach graduated from Colgate University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations. He went on to graduate with his Master of Arts degree, with a specialization in International Development, from GW, in 2013.

Allison Bybee

Allison Bybee received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Environmental Studies, with a minor in Public Health, from GW in 2009.

Michael Cakmes

Michael Cakmes graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management in 2010. He graduated with an MBA degree in Responsible Management from GW. Michael served as a Climate Corps Partner with the Environmental Defense Fund in the summer of 2017.

 

Catharine Callahan

Catharine Callahan currently works for the University at Buffalo as a Pre-Doctoral Cancer Research Trainee. She previously worked for the Department of Physics at GW during her graduate studies. Catharine earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the State University of New York, Albany in 2010 and graduated with her Master of Science degree in Environmental Resource Policy from GW in 2011.

Patrick Campbell

Patrick Campbell currently works for US Department of Transportation as a Program Analyst-Presidential Management Fellow. He is involved with evaluation of the design and implementation of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA)'s safety programs, regulations, policies, procedures and data collections as it pertains to protecting human lives and environmental resources. Patrick received his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Washington in International Studies in 2006. He obtained his Master of Public Policy degree from the GWU in 2012.

Nathan Campeau works for Waste Water Management, Inc., in Northern Virginia. Nathan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering at GW, and obtained his Master of Engineering Management degree at GW.

Giuliana Canessa

Giuliana Canessa hails from Peru. She currently works for Chemonics International as a Deputy Chief of Party where she focuses on the Asia and Middle East Economic Growth Best Practices (AMEG) Project. Giuliana formerly served as the President of Net Impact (a student run environmental organization at GW) and graduated from the Universidad del Pacifico. She received her MBA degree in Strategic Management and Public Policy from GW in 2011.

Andrea Carone

Andrea Carone is an Environmental Protection Specialist with US EPA. She pursued her Master of Arts degree in Environmental and Resource Policy at GW. Andrea graduated from the University of Michigan in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.

Gary Carroll

Gary Carroll currently works at the US EPA as an Environmental Protection Specialist. He is involved in projects dealing with the water quality, storage, treatability and disposal issues of mercury. Gary also has prior work experience in the consulting industry, including firms like ICF Kaiser, SAIC and HAZMED. He holds a BSc degree from Howard University and an MSc degree from The Johns Hopkins University.

Jasmine Casart

Jasmine Casart is from Hawaii.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in history and science at Harvard College in Cambridge Massachusetts; and received her Master's degree in Environmental Resource Policy from GW in 2017. She currently works as Special Assistant to SVP, Development at the League of Conservation Voters.

 

Ariel Castillo

Ariel Castillo works for the SRA Corporation in Northern Virginia, and previously worked for Northrop Grumman as a Strategic Analyst. Ariel graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2000 and received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dayton in 2003. Ariel obtained his Doctoral degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in 2012.

Lydia Castro

Lydia Castro received her Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in Spring 2002. Lydia, originally from Venezuela, received her Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the Carabobo University in Venezuela in 1998.

Anthony Cefali

Anthony Cefali obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison with a major in Biology, where he graduated in 2010. He graduated with his Master of Arts degree in Environmental Policy at GW in 2012. Tony also served as a Graduate Administrative Assistant at GW.

Alyssa Charland

Alyssa Charland serves as a Program Officer with FHI 360, an international aid NGO in Washington. D.C. Alyssa obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies at the American University, where she graduated in 2010. She also obtained a Certificate in Community Based Development from the Colorado State University in 2011. Alyssa graduated with her Master of Arts degree in International Development Studies at GW in 2014.

Gail P. Charles

Gail P. Charles obtained her Master of Engineering Management degree at GW with a concentration in Environmental and Energy Management. Gail is a Senior Vice President with Hill International, a worldwide project management firm in Maryland. Prior to joining Hill International, Gail was Senior Vice President for Federal Programs at the Dames and Moore Group (Engineering and Construction). Gail has two undergraduate degrees, one at Marymount University and the other from the George Washington University.

Yidong Chen

Yidong Chen, originally from China, received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Environmental Engineering from the University College of London in 2013. Presently, Yidong received his Master of Science degree in Engineering Management at GW in 2017.

Scott Christian

Scott Christian currently is working at the US Environmental Protection Agency. Scott received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Management and Technology from Syracuse University in 1999 and received his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2005.

Alexander Chung

Alexander Chung obtained his Undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the Washington and Jefferson College in 2010.  Alex completed his Master of Science degree in Engineering and Technology Management at GW in 2018

Holly Clarke

Holly Clarke serves the Department of Homeland Security as a consultant with ICOR Partners. Holly's specialty is Environmental Security. Holly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering from the Florida Atlantic University, where she graduated in 2002. Holly graduated from GW with a Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management in 2006.

Ireen Cleaton-Jones

Ireen Cleaton-Jones, obtained her Bachelor of Science degree and her Dr. of Medicine degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Ireen studied Environmental and Energy Management at GW.

Anne Clement works in the U.S. Senate, where she is a Legislative Research Assistant. Anne received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with a minor in French, from UCLA, where she graduated in 2007. She received her Master of Public Administration degree, with concentrations in Federal Policy, Politics and Management, and Environmental Policy, from GW in 2014.

Jelani Clement currently works for the George Washington University, where he is a Senior Environmental Health and Safety Specialist. Jelani holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine and Environmental Science from Howard University, where he graduated in 2006. Jelani graduated from GW with a Master of Science degree in Environmenral and Energy Management in 2013.

Michelle Colletti graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 2011. She graduated with her Master of Arts degree in Environmental and Resource Policy from GW in 2014.

Gelena Constantine works for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C.. Gelena, who is a 2001 graduate of the Florida State University, received her Master of Arts degree in Environmental and Resource Policy at GW in 2007.

Tyler Cooley

Tyler Cooley presently is serving as an Intern at the US Environmental Protection Agency in Washington DC. Tyler received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Wyoming in 2000. He received his Master Business Administration degree in Environmental and Resource Policy at GW in 2011, and presently works as a Financial Analyst, Office of Transportation and Air Quality at the US EPA.

Bradley Correa

Bradley Correa is employed at the World Bank in Washington D.C. as a Junior Professional Associate of the Brazil Country Management Unit. Brad, who holds dual U.S. and Brazilian citizenship, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from the University of Kentucky and completed his graduate study in international development at GW.

Andrew Courtney

Andrew Courtney is a Project Manager at Capital City Technical Consulting in Washington DC. Andrew received his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Idaho in 1997 and subsequently served two years with the Peace Corps in Tanzania. Andrew graduated from GW with a Master of Business Administration degree in 2013.

Luis Cruz

Luis Cruz works as a Mechanical Engineer at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez, where he graduated in 2009. Luis received his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management from GW in 2012.

Virginia Dadds

Virginia Dadds is a Project Manager with McCrone, Inc. in Annapolis, Maryland, where she works in the areas of water resources and institutional development engineering. Ginger holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from the University of Maryland, with a major in Construction Management. At GW, Ginger received her Master of Engineering Management degree in Environmental and Energy Management in Spring 2002.

Rukia Dahir

Rukia Dahir is a Founder, Principal and Managing Director of the RSD Strategies, LLC. Rukia is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she received her undergraduate degree in criminal justice and legal studies. She received her Master of Arts degree in Public Policy with concentration in Environmental and Resource Policy from the GW in 2010.

Alice Dasek

Alice Dasek presently is Program Manager for Energy Star Windows, Doors and Skylights at D&R International, where she supports the U.S. Department of Energy. Alice holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bryn Mawr College, where she graduated in 1988. She also holds an MBA degree from Georgetown University, where she graduated in 1997. Alice received her Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in May 2008.

Dr. Kay Davoodi

Dr. Kay Davoodi is a 1998 graduate of our program with a Doctor of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management. Before attending GW, she earned her Master's degree in Industrial Administration from University of Dallas and her Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology in Tehran, Iran. Kay presently holds the position of Public Utilities Specialist for the U.S. Navy. Prior to her work with the Navy, she was employed by the Potomac Electric Power Company for seven years. Prior to joining PEPCO, Kay was employed by several consulting firms as a mechanical and energy engineer for ten years. Kay is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Virginia and is a Certified Energy Manager.

Kristin Deason

Kristin Deason graduated from the University of Virginia in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering. Since graduating, Kristin has worked in the Management Consulting Division of PriceWaterhouseCoopers and for Intersect Software, Inc. She has performed intern service with the American Council for Renewable Energy and presently manages the hydrogen storage support staff at the Sentech Corporation in Washington, DC. Kristin received her Doctor of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW in 2009.

Guido DeHoratis

Guido DeHoratis is a General Engineer with the US Department of Energy in Washington, D.C. Guido received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University, where he graduated in 2006. Guido received his Master of Science degree in Economics, Finance and Cost Engineering from GW in 2014.

Nathan Delong works as a Remedial Project Manager for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command in Washington, D.C. Nate received this Bachelor of Science in Engineering, with a minor in Chemistry, from Lafayette College in 2004. He received his Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering at GW in 2012.

Ilka Deluque

Ilka Deluque holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from the Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, where she graduated in 2007. Ilka presently received her Doctoral degree in Engineering and Technology Management from GWU and works as an Energy Consultant at the World Bank in DC.

Michael Desta

Michael Desta received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of the District of Columbia in 2011. Presently Michael graduated with his Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from GW in 2011.
