Research

An important component of the Environmental and Energy Management Program is funded research. Organizations that currently are sponsoring environmental management research at GW, or which recently have done so, include the Solar Institute; U.S. Environmental Protection Agency; Institute for Water Resources, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; Transportation Environmental Research Program, Federal Highway Administration; National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior; and Transportation Development Foundation. All students benefit from the cutting edge results flowing from these activities as they are incorporated into program courses. In addition, some students have the opportunity to participate directly in research projects as graduate research assistants.
